Has anyone done re-clocking for the once famous JVC XL-Z1050? Opened it up and found that it uses an 'obscure' DAC chip...seems to be JVC's very own....JCE4501...and the clock crytsal(16.xxxxMhz), with its 2 usual accompanying capacitors is located just beside this DAC chip.
Search this forum and seems like this player is very less mentioned.....and have not been successful in googling datasheets for the JCE4501 either. I need to find out which is the Xtal In pin (for the clock input) for this DAC.

Pic of the player from a website...seems like not much info can be found for this old player which was a Stereophile classified...
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
alfsch, do u have the service manual? are u able to send me? i am trying to change the capacitors to new ones that is filtering the supply for the digital and analog sections. Capacitors over 10 years is not good at all.
