Firstly, Happy New Year to all! It's been another great New Year's celebration here in Sydney; hope you've all had a great one in your respective parts of the world! 😎
I've searched a lot of the previous posts on this topic, but still have a couple of questions. I know that the Kwak-7 is considered the best for performance per $$, but how good is it against all-comers? I was wondering if the DIY nature of the circuit (& parts) limited it to being effective mostly for low-mid end gear, but perhaps not so much for high end stuff?
I was wondering what the Kwak was like against the Audiocom Superclock1, and the LCAudio XO2. Unfortunately, my budget does not extend to that of the Superclock2, the LCAudio XO3, or even the Tent XO2 (all hail the Aussie peso - NOT!
) so I'm not looking at these.
I have a Krell CD-DSP player which I'd like to enhance (12 y.o. technology!), but I'm concerned that, given the accuracy levels associated with Krell, some equipment may not be effective.
Thoughts, anyone?

Unfortunately, I'm not good in finding old threads and posts so I have to ask the moderators to help me.
I'v tested and listend to most comertial and DIY clocks and without a doubt, the KC-7 is the best one I've encounterd untill now. Still have to test the Tent XO2 though! I've tested the DIY version of the Tent clock and found out that the DIY vertion is not bad but the KC-7 is the best one untill now.
Believe me, the KC-7 is the one I had in my old Wadia 8/15 and now in my TEAC VRDS 25X (two of them) and the TEAC P700 Transport.
This is THE CLOCK for DIY High-End Lovers!
I've tried all the other ones and non was as good as the KC-7.

Elso, can you please confirm that you still sell the KC-7 boards; if so, how much & how would I arrange payment etc?
I also have a query re my Krell; the crystal is marked "FOX180 18.000" (I'm assuming that's the MHz?), which is not a value I've seen re CDP clocks before. There's also another larger flatter canned object (crystal?) near the first, marked: "F1100E 9047 30.0000000Mhz", but I've no idea what this does. I'll email you some pics I took (too big to post), but do you think that this setup/strange value (18MHz) will cause problems trying to fit/run your clock?

If you have a Krell, don't try to save money. Use a small clock with excellent power supply. Try the Tent XO3 which will give an improved parallel spdif output. e130 isn't too much! If you have room, fit a separate PS transformer feed.
Don't mess about with complicated large clocks requiring careful siting.
