Clock locking CD player to DAC

I have a Cambridge Audio Azur 540C CD player and just bought a demo IsoMagic S700 DAC. I would like to use the clock lock option (using an optical cable). Does anyone know if this is possible with these two models? If not, is it possible to modify the CD player? Thanks for any information.

may be you need to replace as is fiber optic recieving and transmitting module with new fiber optic recieving module for CD player and external DAC, respectively, that used in high speed communication. You need to buy the real optical fiber cable that used in high speed communication also.

I heard from my friend the optical cable for audio in market is only one core (cheap) I'm not expert and I never try but it just an idea.

How easy this is will depend on whether the Isomagic clock frequency matches that in the player. I think the Isomagic uses a PMD100 filter (?), which needs a 256fs or 384fs clock. If the player is the same, all you will probably need is a suitable optical receiver with the output going to the xti pin.
