Thank for clearing this up 🙂

Fortunately there are numerous other things to be done for making my player better. I just removed muting transistors. Sound fabulous but makes those irritating POKS ! sounds when switching the power on or off.

The poks are telling you the players ounds better when you leave it switched on.....

Just to refresh the meaning of the word 'Tank Circuit', of which none of the previous posts in this thread were actually referring to 😀 (Since it would most probably never be used in a crystal oscillator).
