Hey people
A little bit of mud got splattered on the underside of the cones on a few of the drivers in our Othorns. They are the 21" B&C neodymium drivers. Just wondering if there is any solvent that can be used to effectively clean them without causing damage to the cones, or is it best to leave it to fully dry, harden, then come off over time?
Any help appreciated
Aaron

Those cones are supposed to be TWP epoxy treated on both sides so you should be good with water but don't drip into the spiders as you may contaminate the motor. I'm thinking a damp washcloth will do the job.
+1
I've dealt with a few cases of various splattered materials on speakers and gently scrubbing by hand with a damp cloth of some sort is the safest bet.
Cheers guys, much appreciated

I guess that is one way of putting it. I'd say it is closer to tech support or a game of 21 questions usually.

So are those 21's still mudded up like a Jeep with Super Swampers on it or what?
I'm pretty sure I've literally been asked that before.
