Avionics‐ aviation electronics- DC to GHz.You can rinse last with bottled water, or RO / deionised water, which is not so difficult to get.
And if you dry it off, no issue, but I live in an area where the tap water is from a river source, very low TDS.
Audio frequencies are much below RF...so less chance of signal distortion.

Parasitic signal losses are less significant / not induced at f<20 kHz.
It is an audio amp module, nowhere near as expensive as the RF modules used in Radar, and UHF/VHF.
How many mass produced amps have you seen with a build quality approaching avionics, let alone military grade avionics?

'I've never seen any other water cleaning reference in RF and Avionics service manuals.'
Most are sealed electronics, with gaskets, in professional use.
The chances of anybody getting incoherent and putting fragrant oil, or beer, or whatever on those are very low.
As compared to that happening at a domestic situation, or a party.
Example, glass of beer vibrates in loud music, and spills beer into the amp, which is being used as a place to keep the glass.
So you are unlikely to find cleaning references either in service manuals for avionics and RF stuff.

Professional use and "hermetically sealed" are two different things.'I've never seen any other water cleaning reference in RF and Avionics service manuals.'

I am not responsible for this oil finding itself smeared on one of the most cherished amplifier modules in my possession. The incident did not take place during a party and no one was intoxicated in any way. The module was smeared with this oil out of spite as a harassment, but the story is a long one, and it is beyond the scope of these fora.

Like I said,'incoherent', which covers a range of motives. Like extreme spite and so on as well.
My sympathies, keep us posted on your progress.
Please read my post above, it was just an example of how much easier it is for this to happen, compared to the likelihood in a professional service area inside a protected building, like an Air Force or Army base.
I know people who made aircraft and satellite electronic housings, and those who serviced helicopter radios. The construction is different from audio amps and such.

why not test run the cleaning material on small portion of the module ? or better still, any other disposable pcb with components no longer required by covering it with e juice and than cleaning material ?

I will use my pair of hands and above all patience. A good quality contact cleaner and a narrow paintbrush. If while applying my planned modifications to the VBE multiplier part of the circuitry proves that there is some oil and additives residue, I will repeat the cleaning procedure.
Did you bash the person's head in who did this? I strongly recommend it as a means to teach others proper conduct.

In my country there is a law called The Criminal Code. If I were to do that, I would end up in great trouble with the police and probably end up incarcerated. It is better to be patient and remain a free man.
My advice to everyone is: when you are enraged or in anger, refrain from violence even if you are assaulted, in which case, defend yourself but do it in a measured and reasonable way. That way, you will have the law always by your side.

Yeah, I guess we only do that in the USA. BUT, it's still possible to get into trouble if the guy is a total pansy-***, and doesn't have shame to press charges. I'd be too embarrassed to press the issue. Actually, in college, a guy who came to a party at our house came back and tried to take the hifi system. In my country there is a law called The Criminal Code. I grabbed a large knife and went to his house, and held it up to his throat, to convince him it was a bad idea to steal our stuff. I left, and he called the police. They came to my house, and asked if I held a knife up to so-and-so's throat. I said, '"Yes, but he tried to take the stereo system!"
The cop said, "Well, you scared the hell out of him. So, just leave him alone. I don't want to havve to come back. Do you understand?"
I said, "Yes officer." And he left. If that had been in any other country, I probably would have gotten into trouble.
Self defence, even in the event of assault, is subject to the application of reasonable force/violence. A bright criminal prosecutor (usually a lawyer) can easily argue, the application of 'reasonable' violence was beyond what was needed. Furthermore, criminal lawyers cost a fortune to hire, hence my advice to refrain from violence when enraged or angry.

Lighter fluid (or very clean high grade mineral spirits) with a toothbrush. Then alcohol with another toothbrush. Use cotton swabs to small areas that need added scrubbing. Warm water with dish detergent meant for food dishes and toothbrush also may be needed for stuff like starch or proteins (food). Solvents won’t take dried up food off. But warm water and soap will. The mechanical brushing with a proper soap or solvent is essential. Last one is alcohol though. Then let dry throughly before powering up. A warm air flow from hair dryer can help. But sitting in open air for a few days should do the trick.

Is that an orange with some blocks of whatever you are smoking on top of it?
So the liquid from the bubble filter in the bottom is culprit contaminant on these PCBs that the OP is talking about? 🙂

It's a partially scooped out grapefruit loaded with tobacco/ fruits molasses. Today's gift from hookahs merchant. The blocks on a top are charcoal pucks . They burn pretty much like a BBQ charcoal . That's how you " grill" tobacco mix . The container on the bottom is filled with water which cools the smoke. They say it filters the crap but I ain't buying it . The thick molasses sometimes have too much water content in the tobacco mix . Not sure how the heck one can spill it but if you knock out the hookah on a circuit board the fluid from tobacco mix can possibly get there . I see the fluid running out of the grapefruit bottom on the top pan but when I'm using regular terracotta top to hold tobacco it's usually dry. All my neighbors are Muslims from various parts of the world ( mostly India) and hookah stores are everywhere. Is that an orange with some blocks of whatever you are smoking on top of it?

The original Hukka / Hookah or Hubble Bubble drew the smoke from heated tobacco through a water bath, so was considered cleaner and cooler than normally smoked tobacco through a pipe or whatever.
That pipe / cigar / cigarette tobacco is set on fire, in a Hukka it is (mostly) not set on fire, but heated with charcoal.
The bubbling sound was characteristic.
The water would get dirty, like a cigarette filter gets dirty, and would need replacement.
My Mom's father had one, no idea what happened to it after the old man died of smoking induced cancer, he used to smoke unfiltered cigarettes for the most part..
This is a modern version, I think it is an aberration to smoke flavored molasses.
Risky, could spill on your laptop, bigger disaster than an amp!
Please, I am not saying anything for or against smoking beyond that I gave up long back, feel better.
A bit off topic, I hope the moderators and members do not take offense.

Oh no problem at all. I buried my father 3 years ago . Severe breathing problems related to heavy smoking and heart attack caused by heavy drinking. One has to die of something and the worst way to go is to go of old age and healthy...
Smoking burning charcoal is full of carbon monoxide. That will give you a headache if not worse. Anyhow, traditions from all over the world are traditions and I’m not one to say good or bad. It sure looks cool though.
