Has anyone used the tripath amps to drive electrostst's ?
I am running an amp 1 b from 41 hz. It seems to me it would be great. Any experiences with this ?
Thanks.

i don't know much about elesctrostatic speakers but don't they involve hooking the output of your amp up to a transformer to drive them? i'm not sure how well the t-amps would handle that. heck, transformer windings are magnetically coupled inductors (basically) and a driver's voice coil is a coil of wire... i guess it would all depend on the transformer used. try it and let us know what happens! 😉
Thanks for the reply. I would like to know if anyone has had the experience. I have been planning to make some electrostatic panels and i have some old Dynaco stereo 70 output transformers to drive them. If the class T amp does a poor job, i will re-think the project.
Thanks.
Thanks.
yes I do have the experience
I do have the experience driving ESL with a t-amp. Do see http://www.diyhifi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=6413#6413
The van Medevoort's are not fullrange ESL's
