I have had the opportunity to live with a few Class D amps, various NAD including the Purifi Master Series and a boutique brand that eludes me, I think they went back to A/B. Of course class D amps can have excellent bass and a really low noise floor, but perhaps they are too clean for me, a little 2nd order never hurt anyone. I have not been won over to the D side as I find the midrange not as engaging, 2nd order(?). A friend has asked me about the Bel Canto, just wondering if anyone has had a chance to audition 1?
I have no complaint with Class D. I think it's a miracle that it works so well.

Maybe, but I'll take my ACA Mini, thank you! And I do mean Thank You!I have no complaint with Class D. I think it's a miracle that it works so well.
Got to admit, I had to think about what you said, wasn't sure just how serious you were. After pondering I think your analogy is pretty spot on, no big surprise there! 😂 Maybe even Monet, with distance we can gain perspective.I imagine how Picasso felt about photography...
Hi, I want to build an hybrid amp (similar to this one Alieno 250W amp link) using only tube for voltage amplification and class D for managing output current (this means Class D gain=1 or 0db). Based on my research, I saw that Purify Class D module could lower their gain to 12db. Do you know Class D module with regulable gain to 0db?
Hi
Can anyone help me suggesting the difference between the audio quality between D & AB class amps. Which one is better sonically. I think digital amps have more grip on reproduction of music and more clear in midrange.
