What is the current thinking on class-D with external mosfet output devices. I was looking at the IRS2092 as the IRAUDAMP7S and wondering if there is something more current or if there is something that there is agreement on sounds better or has a better implementation? I am looking to build this as a dual mono application for a self powered speaker and want a real 100 watts into 8 ohms with no more than 0.1% distortion level. Any help or direction to a specific thread would be appreciated.. The amp will be used to drive a bass/mid cone driver and cutoff will be at 2.5Khz. High frequencies will be covered by a separate amp. Good strong bass and clean mids are the objective.
