Class D open circuit output.

I want to use a stereo class D chip but only want to use one channel. Is it permissible to leave the unused channel open circuit if the input is grounded, or must it be loaded?

Load it with the recommended nominal impedance.

I'd check the manufacturer's data sheet. They might specify a minimum load, possibly by adding a resistor at the output.
