Is there an easy place for reference of all the class D audio chips/boards available. It would be nice if there was just a list somewhere with chips and their general ratings with mabe strengths/weeknesses would help me keep track anyhow.
Thanks

That's a great idea. The implementation can be key, but for those who have listened to several different IC's, this might be a good resource for someone just getting started in Class D.
Maybe a knowledgeable individual could make a list and attributes. Then it could be a sticky for reference....maybe a lot of work but I would sure like to see that info all in one place.
There is such a varied spectrum that it would be difficult to make a list. Try the less expensive, lower power amps and see if you like them. If you don't, than it wasn't much invested and you can go on with your life. If you do, keep going further down the rabbit hole 😉 Sometimes you just have to listen and decide for yourself.
There are chip class d amps and discrete class d amps.
I have made my own design discrete which was ok.
I have made numerous irs2092 based amps.
They sound good to me but I haven't tried any other chip class d amps to compare.
If you intend to build your own then class d can be troublesome.
Great care in pcb layout is required. Ground loops can cause havoc.
Close decoupling of chip and mosfets is vital
