I was not going to offend you. 🙂
Those new caps are maybe not as good as the old one, because they need to be LowESR if they are used in the powerstage, especially on a Class-D. So all those mods are considered to be measured or calculated.
Cheers.

My attempt to make a clean build of dual UCD180HG :
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Nice build quality and layout, although the mains passing through a hole in a metal plate, with rough edges, gives me concern.

I know, I still find a way to find rubber/plastic material to cover that hole. Fortunately the outer jacket of that OLFlex mains cable is thick enough and it is double insulated cable, so it is safe enough for the moment.
Very nicely done. I like the clean and open layout of the inside. How do those Hypex modules sound? I've been lurking around the Hypex thread from time to time, but haven't popped for them yet. Too many other projects and personal drama right now. 🙂 Do you have other class D amps you can compare it to? Oh, nice pictures too!

Thanks. I ordered the plexi from ebay in my measurements. It was only ~£7.

I've never used any other class D amps, only class A/B/AB. I really like the Hypex modules, they certainly sound good to me.

Thanks Maxw, if you pls give me the seller's id i thanks you
Hi guys.
This is a TA2020 amp with 2 extra 3300uf caps and jantzen input caps that i made recently. It is in a glass jar with a enamel spray painted metal cover. I am very with the result. What do you guys think?

i thought about that too. so far it stays very cool though. i don't think the ta2020 gets really hot.

My Class-D subwoofer amplifier housed in a small case.
Using +-65VDC rails with 500VA transformer. I conducted sine wave power measurement and the results were 306W into 4 ohms, and 490W at 2 ohms resistive load (clean sine wave before clipping).
Power supply rails sagged from its original +-65DC to only +-51VDC when drawing 490W.

Hello, I'm new here.
It’s great to see everyone’s photos of their DIY projects.
Here are a couple of my class D projects.
Testing a Lapai 2020 to see how it sounds before bypassing the tone circuitry and upgrading the inductors.

A YuanJing TA2020 board installed in a shadow box from Aaron Brothers.
I often use this box to test components and various amp and preamp modules, both tube and solid state.
Here I have it set up to be switchable so that it can be used as an integrated amp or as a purely passive preamp. It houses a 25K TKD stepped attenuator and Cardas & WBT input/output hardware.
