I'm looking for some help. Having trouble figuring out vent on drawing, I see three compartments on front view, one on side view. I'm confused with front view. Would appreciate some help. Thanks.
Ok, the way Dave has drawn the box, the vent is the center section (81mm).
I'll run a quick sim to confirm the tuning. Ok, the center vent section checks out.

Just to follow up on Jeff’s comment, this particular format of Dave’s (of which I’ve built a few dozen pairs) generally incorporates a central spacer block that runs the full depth of the enclosure, and which vary in width, depending on the driver & tuning. This results in a pair of small, high aspect ratio slots along the bottom of the enclosure.
In far fewer cases that I can recall was it the reverse - i.e. a single central vent.
I’d suggest you confirm with Dave which applies here.

Yes, by all means wait for Dave's confirmation. I believe my analysis of the vent size is correct thou.🙂

Very rare. ie zero. Some early ones had 3 spacers (one in the middle, 1 each right at the sides)

That looks familiar. I might have said this already, but note that the central spacer block extends the full depth of the enclosure to rigidly couple with the back panel.

Not that it’s germane to the conversation, or that I can recall for which drivers, but weren’t there some “kens” along the way with a full width slot?
There is a slot at the bottom which has a vent spacer (81mm wide) in the middle.
Your section view in your drawing should have cross hatching all the way thru the three panels at the bottom. It currently shows the center panel as "open", ie. the vent in the center.

Agree that the use of cross hatching would have made things a bit clearer to someone not familiar with the topology. The phantom 3D version that Dave has sometimes included shows it more graphically - particularly when using different colours for the various panels.
