Hello for all
I have a problem on the temperature of the thermistor CL 60.
when I light my block Aleph 2, I have a rise in immediately temperature of thermistor 1.
which is the problem?
or perhaps that it is normal.
thank for anwser.

Hi jeclk,
where did you get the CL60?
I haven´t found any distributor so far here in Europe
though there must be one.
TIA
Jens

Adress in Europe
Hello Jens,
it's a company which is in France I give you the reference or the code CL 60.
code designation
"TEXCL60" THERMISTANCE CL 60
if you want of the assistance to communicate with society, say me, I say will contact them.

phone: 33 (0)4 72 35 31 72.
if you have a good address for the heatsinks, say it me.

yes, and no...
That is the case if it is being used as an inrush suppressor. If it is being used to isolate the grounds, as in some of the zen projects (or maybe A75?), you may have a problem!
This is how it works. When temp rises the resistance goes down and it should be like that

Hi Jens,
kuck mal www.rs-components.de
In Ö gibts Vergleichstypen unter Passive Bauelemente-
Entstörbauteile- Einschaltstromspitzenbegrenzer
Ich verwende die 3A / 15Ohm, "S237/15/M"
Part# 216-1393
da CL60 = 5A / 10 Ohm
aber nur 110V und doppelter Strom
Funktionieren einwandfrei
Uli

Re: yes, and no...
That's a good point and I was talkng about inrush supressing.

Right off the top of my head...there is also something to be said about using a single cl-60 to do inrush protection on an aleph 2. I guess in Europe they have higher mains but I would check to make sure that the temp is within the rating.
Higher mains means less current draw for the same power. Thermistor will run at a lower temp, I guess.😉
mains
Hi Peter,
exactly 230V mains, therefore I use 3A 15R inrush suppressors
They work very well with the higher mains.

Thanks jeclk for the advice and nice offer
but I´ll go with Uli´s suggestion cause it´s in germany.
I´ll usually don´t check the RS-Components catalogue cause they´re quite expensive but the choice of parts is real nice.
thanks
Jens - kuckt mal wieder bei RS-Components vorbei
