Hi All,
Over the past two years (on-and-off) I have built this Aleph 5 clone. At the start I knew nothing of electronics but decided to build this completely over-the-top amplifier anyway. Thanks to all of the contributors here (and to Nelson) for developing the knowledge database which now exists, where I found all of the information I needed to complete the build without electrocuting myself or starting a house fire!
Despite being a two-person lift and after some initial grounding problems the amp works and sounds great! It's a massive improvement on my current set-up. The only issue is that it runs almost too hot to touch (despite the massive heat sinks) and that my wife won't let me keep it in the living room.
Regards,
Nic
