Choosing choke valuein pre amp tube

Hi,

Is there any best practice to choose choke value for pre amp, for the first stage (right after tube rect), the 2nd (next), and the 3rd?

Or could we just generalize, the higher H the better? What about the sonic impact?

I currently install 1 of 72H of choke (26+46), and there is no hum anyway, with C (PP 18uF) L (72H) C (elco 100uF JJ) R 270ohm C (elco 100uF JJ) . Just curious if I change to L (?) - C - L - C - L or R - C (PP) could I get better sonic improvement.

Trafo output is 240V. Current consumption - currently - is about 20mA (2*10 mA). But plan to add another stage (could raise to 60mA total). B+ is around 220V (not ciritical, could be 180-250).

Thanks,

Ervin L
