hey, i remember seeing people mention the video game console vga converters as a cheap option. has anyone done this? if so, which system's setup did they use? i was going to use a dreamcast one, but they have a true SCART setup on it, therefor the vga box doesnt use any of the video or svideo outs. anyone try a psx/ps2 or xbox one? any pinouts for us? thanks.
Not sure about pinouts, I got a VGA box on ebay for 23.50. I have used it with both my ps2, xbox and dreamcast with no problems going to my projection panel.

what i'm most worried about:
1.resolution. i cant go any bigger than 640x480, and some say they do.
2.macrovision. not really a big problem, but still a honorable mention.
anyone else done a cheaper setup than the cheese vga box? this is going to be for everything (vcr, dvd, video games, etc), so a console specific one wouldnt work for me unless i can chop it up to work with video (preferably) or svideo
thanks
