In a car you're better off with multiple drivers in a sealed box. Then EQ.
Use cabin gain in your favor. And spread the power over multiple voice coils, do not try to pump it all through one.
But still, 4 of these in a sealed box is only $200ish. Not a huge hit on your pocket, and you can do two small enclosures with two drivers in each, so it won't take up your entire trunk.
