Cheap LCD PJ's - One Catch

I've noticed over the past several years that there are great deals on LCD pj on ebay selling for no more than 350-450 USD. The catch is usually that they have a burnt out bulb, meaning you would have to spend another 300 USD or so to it working. Why not try retroing a cheaper bulb in the beast fitting similar specs as the bulb which was already in the pj. For example, the OSRAM HMI 575W MH can fit into the palm of my hand, and is 7000 lumens. Sells for about 50-100USD.
This is a decent PJ, though only SVGA for about 350USD - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3402139989&category=25321 still one day left though

If anyone is doing the OHP method, YOU MUST buy the Elmo HP-A305 SD (Solar Deluxe) - it come already fitted with the 575W MH inside-, which means you wouldn't have to mod nothing unless you bought a standard LCD monitor to flop ontop. I saw one of these go for 70USD- this is the ended auction price- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3403314385&category=25322

these aren't cheap new, but you can get amazing deals on the net. here is the official elmo site: http://www.elmo-corp.com/presentation/

Good luck. As for me, I got lucky and got an XGA native from a friend for a cool 500 USD- 2000 lumens, all ok, xcept a lil crack on the rear of the casing.
