Changing world of motor racing.

No doubt the Dakar can be dangerous but in different ways than than potentially racing bikes in Monaco, Macau or the Manx TT and the Irish road racing series.

MotoGP riders are used to pushing the limits but when they come off they dust themselves off and try again. If you come off in Macau or the others mentioned above there is a good chance that you find yourself dead due to lack of run off areas.

One of the top racers at the TT is a fellow called Michael Dunlop.
His father, uncle and brother all died in road racing accidents.

Worse than SUVs are pick up trucks, at leasst around here

In North East Tennessee everyone seems to think their truck needs to be 4WD. For what? They drive to work and home.

I have owned three pickup trucks and all three were rear wheel drive only. I hauled firewood out of the mountains for over 20 years and never got stuck once.

4wd is to get further into the woods to get to the good locust, past where it’s been picked over by the 2wd folks! 😀
