Hi. So I was wondering, why is it common practice to mount Vbe multiplier to driver/s when using this arrangement? Can someone explain.
In CFP, the driver and the output stage are within a feedback loop. Incidently this takes re of the output transistor out of the function for output impedance, the result is a very low output impedance determined primarily by the output resistors. It is this feedback loop that must be thermally stabilized. The change in Pd of the output device has less effect on the fb loop, but thermal bias stability of the 'input device', the driver, has much more effect because of the loop gain.
