Peter Daniel:
...🙂
mgoedeke,
100% agreed, thanx 🙂
janneman,
i am with Peter Daniel here
Peterr,
again thank you for the good spirit! 🙂
janneman,
You are a rough guy and made some fellow moderators frown more than once. I am very happy to read this. In your case being rough/abrasive and corrosive is not the same.
I could not resist the temptation of rubbing my fellow moderator's noses into that post. 🙂
roddyama,
also thank you for you backup! 🙂
And who leaves with noise, the same!
As far as Gro is concerned: i do not claim he was acting consciously. But i do observe the effects: he managed to distract and conuse members atleast as effectively as covert or overt offenses would have done. People were confused and not talking about the topic they initially were on. Seen from the effects, he was causing messes just another way. He was stopping people, i do not care if he did so intentionally. We will try not to let it happen next time.
re: your signature: do you expect me to make it visible without ****? i do not promise anything, but i sure can try. Just, you would have to replace the asterisks so that we can see results.
mrfeedback,
sorry, no elitist Indian caste system.
Your suggestion stifle communication, and stifle creativity as well.
If we all behave like adults and youngsters realize it pays to be polite and sometimes humble, we slowly will get there without added rules. We just have to live it, to give the example by our behaviour.
artnyos,
agreed. As i stated above, as few rules as even possible.
good idea! 🙂
I'd like to apologize to SteveG for calling his behaviour immature.

janneman,
i am with Peter Daniel here
and do not think the Schwab quote applies here. Peter made a mistake and apologized for it. And gave a good example to others by it.Peter Daniel: I only hope I made him feel better, because i didn't loose anything by doing it.

again thank you for the backup!Peterr: Welll said! I also want to state that I have a lot of respect for the moderators....much better than I ever could (for whatever that's worth...). Jan Didden

my personal, my member opinion: agreed it is a shame that others use their participation as an instrument of exerting pressure. Who menaces to leave get an invitaion from me: go leave, don't go, run!IMHO, I believe this whole "Moderator, Sin-Bin, Censorship" issue is an over reaction to Gro. And it is a shame that some major contributors felt the situation was such that they had to call it quits over the "change in the forum".

I fear all you have done is alienate ever more people with that lengthy manifesto. A moderators job should be be done quietly and as gently as possible. Threatning and bulling tatics are even less welcome from a moderator than the usual troublemaker poster. We expect it from some of the posters, but not from the moderators. We know what the moderators job is and that it is needed without being
over the head about how difficult a job it is and how misunderstood you are. Isn't it enough to be
and jury without turning the place into a
state.
As to further lenthy diatribes on this issue, please don't.....😴
Well I guess I have had my say.
