Anybody who has more information or even schematics of this DAC? Unfortunately no signal comes out anymore 
although the signal is apparently aquired (LEDs show successful aquisition of the signal). Anybody who can help please?

I got a malfunctioned Cello 8.1 in hand. It won't lock to input signal. The LEDs keeps blinking.

The Cello is the Apogee DA-1000 with some modifications in the output stage. There is very little information to be found in the web unfortunately and Apogee won't repair this old stuff anymore. Cello does not exist anymore. You can only try to repair it yourself but given that the schematics is not available and it is a multilayer PCB it will be difficult. If you get any information let me know.

I just found your post. I have the same unit and I do have an Operations Manual. It has some diagrams of the board layout but it does not appear to have any circuit diagrams. I don't know if this information will be useful, but I would be happy to share it with you if you give me a mailing address (or email, for a PDF).
Regardless, I was wondering, did you find anyone who could repair this? My unit has been giving me trouble for a long time and now it works intermittently, if at all. I'd love to get it repaired by someone who has the know how to fix it.
