Would one of these do the job?
All electronics(their item lcd-87 or their LCD-83 ???) without changin too much?

I'm very new at this, So the question is, Is it okay to assume that in the kit there's going to be detailed instruction about how to make RCA or XLR output, Or how to connect a DAC.

Actually this kit is intended for connection to an external DAC via s/p-dif. Of course audio is already present at cd-rom audio output but the quality there isn't very "audiophile". 🙂

Thanks for the reply. The question is what is s/p dif. Is it possible to get audiofile quality sound from a regular cd-rom if its connected to decent DAC ?

what would be total cost to 54650.

S/p-dif is the digital output of your cdrom - you connect it to the input of the DAC. You can get good sound quality, and even better if you do clock upgrade inside cdrom.
