I am in the process of re casing a marantz CD65 dx, but have an issue with the cdm2 drive.
Because there is no resistance to indicate the draw is closed it will not spin CDs up. Does anyone know what value resistor to wire across the terminals to simulate a closed draw.
Any advice gratefully received.

Service Manual here...............
Marantz CD-65 Manual - Compact Disc Player - HiFi Engine
See page 27. At the top the Tray Open/Closed Sensing switch is labelled as SK 2. There is a 10k Pull-Up Resistor from the +5 Line.
From memory I seem to remember that the Switch is Closed when the Tray is fully closed and fully open.
I'm not sure exactly what you're asking here. Are you perhaps re-casing to become a Top-Loader? A Toggle Switch in place of SK 2 would do for you in this case but that's me assuming what you're doing!
