Hi,
Please help me with these capacitors CDE, are they original?
Specifications are written on a transparent sheet which is glued on capacitor.
I have not seen anything from CDE...
I bought capacitors from Farnell.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards.

As far as I've seen, only CDE & Vishay are selling screw terminal caps anymore. And CDE is the cheaper brand.
Farnell is usually reliable. I've had farnell shipping guys substitute a 2 lb relay for a 2 lb roll of silver plate wire worth 6 times as much, but I don't think they are likely to bring substitutes into the shop. The customs guys in 2nd and 3rd world countries actually substitute counterfeit parts frequently. Also mail employees, and shipping employees watched less carefully than the major brands . The good stuff goes to "friends" that pay the bribes. I see you're in EU; it depends how much your country watches the mail sorting facilities. US mail facilities had overhead viewing tunnels for QA/security people before there were closed circuit cameras.

Hi ,
Thank you very much for your answer!
I asked a question and CDE, they say they are made in the USA.
They are quiet now 🙂
Best rgards.
First time I have seen a stick on label on any PS cap ever.
Hope this isn,t an Ebay Asian purchase?

The Farnell swore are manufactured in USA.
Say on the box write batch and place of manufacture.
I hope so, I bought 16 pieces and they cost money 🙁

I just found:
Mallory is now Cornell Dubilier (CDE)
The caps look OK to me. Maybe you can measure the capacitance.
My meter goes to 20,000uf. Maybe back to back in series?

Charge/discharge through a known resistor and measure the RC time constant works with high value capacitors
These are normal capacitors. Nothing strange about them. Why the worry? You got them from a reputable source, the brand is a real thing, and they aren't THAT horribly out of date (early 2014 is a bit older than I'd feel comfortable with, but they're probably just fine).
