CD104 griplets help

Hi thanks for that, but whist I have a decent amount of mechanical repair experience having restored many turntables I have no experience at all of electronic !

Starting to feel a bit thick to say the least, current set up Sony Vfet 5650 , goodmans dimension 8 , BW DM 2 a, td 124 decca ffss pro.

This connectors are 1mm diameter what is quite big. I reccomend use 0,6mm hard wire 20...30cm. Clean the hole put 1cm wire trought good solder and cut on both sides...and go one. Do not forget single one. I repaired 104 and 304 3 month ago. Also did complete recap, adjustment...304 nos and 104 output filter mod...

be careful if you want to solder directly on the connectors.
do not forget that the copper side is the ground.
Personally, when I have this kind of problem, I buy another Philips cd player (400 series for example, 471/473) and I recover the connectors and bases on the pcb.
otherwise it is possible to disassemble each terminal of the connector to tighten them and reassemble them and if you are lazy, you can slightly melt the connectors with the soldering iron to reform them or make a small spacer to ensure a tight contact.
my 2 cents

Here we are talk about griplets or? This is most often cause of failure and axial capacitors. Sometimes tamtals have shortcut to gnd with pins, power supply recap, tham adjust testpoints. First solve this, than go on with plastic connectors.
