CD Rom palyer V.S commercial High-End CD player with Pro-2 module?
How can diy a CD Rom palyer better than High-End CD player with Pro-2 module?
I used battery for CD Rom power and copper case for CD Rom and I also diy a DAC but the sound is not good.
How can I improve the sound of the CD Rom player?

I can understand these projects for fun and education, but not if the goal is actually better sound. For a lot less money one can buy a better CD player. Am I missing something?
Informations about mechanic stuff in computer cd/dvd drive are very rare; some guy's claim, that Plextor was one of the best, also for audio applications (may be, but I don't know exactly).I can understand these projects for fun and education, but not if the goal is actually better sound. The same regarded the Sony Playstation, but this is not true in most cases.
What's your favorite transport mechanism both for diy and inside in commercial compact disc player, both for CD only and for blu ray (Blue ray bluray)/DVD?

some technican claim the opposite. How do you justify your opinion ??
As a DIY hacker, I believe an older transport with a CDM-4 is pretty tough to beat for Red Book. They made millions of them and they seemingly last forever. The old Magnavox models are a great source, easily upgraded and I2S can be plucked off very easily. No NOS for me, I upsample.
this mechanism was also used in the cd rom device "CDD462" ("CDD 462")
