CD player supply problems

I've modded my Denon with separate 5v digital supply. After this mod player doesn't work properly - It starts spinning a disk in reverse directions. But sometimes it works OK, especially right after opening and closing a tray. Player utilizes Sony CXA1372 and CDX2500. Can someone give me a clue what can be wrong?

I would reverse my action and see if it behaves.

If reversed it works OK. Originally there is simple 7805, I use lm317 on separate board.

What about a schematic of the 5V supply you created?

Hugo, thank you for replying. It's a standard schematic with 2 resistors and 2 capacitors. Interesting moment is when I make the regulator on mainboard of the player (in the place of 7805 chip) it works, when I make it on separate PCB it doesn't work.
