Hello everyone!
I have a strange problem with my moddified Denon CD-Player:
When I turn it on in the morning it starts to turn the Disc, and reads, and reads... and finally says that there are 0 Tracks on that CD.
If I leave it powered on for about 5 minutes and re-insert the CD after that Time it normaly reads it.
I changed the oscillator with a Tentlab X0, but I don not really think that there is a problem, because while moddifying it, I realized that the spindle motor and the focus go nut if the clock doesn´t work!
And that isn´t appearing now.
Where could the problem be?

Are you sure the new 'clock' is running at the correct frequency from 'cold'?
If just a few Hertz out it may be enough to provide timing for the Focus and Spindle drives to function so as not to 'run away' but not quite right.
As the 'clock' warms up it may 'drift' into spec'n and all is ok?
Can you measure the frequency?

Try too make the clock powerup a couple of seconds first before the rest of the cdp, I have fixed the same problem like this by doing this.

Well after a factory reset it seems to work now... but maybe that was just randomness.
If it won´t work tomorrow morning, how did you manage to start the oscillator before the CDP?

!t was powered by it's own supply getting the mains before the power switch which was on 24/7 then power switch powered up the rest of the cdp.
