Need help to find digital input in Hafler Iris cd player. This is classical philips machine.Saa7210p,Saa7220p/b and Tda1541a, with digital output. After it stop spinning I thought it can be good dac.I will use Sony playstationI as transport, any input will be very helpful🙂

you need a conversion from Sony/burr-Brown format to a I2S format from Philips. This is exact the reverse function from follow project:

More complicated it will be, if you go the detour via the SPDIF (S/P-DIF, DOBM) format.
For the conversion from I2S to SPDIF there is the PCF2705 go to

Basiclly the same IC (but for conversion from Sony/burr-Brown to SP-DIF) you will need in your application - perhaps one of the members know the appropriate type.
Additional you will need a PCF2705, but with the reverse function (conversion SPDIF-I2S). The Cambridge Audio DAC "DACMAGIC" uses such a device in it's input aera.
Certainly PCM decoders from SONY are configurable to various output formats - sometimes even I2S. If this so, then you can go the easist way. Which PCM decoder (CXD1165-CXD1167-CXD2500Q/AQ/BQ) is in use by your playstation I ??
