Does anyone know I leave my CD player running all the time. It seems to track better when the unit is warmed up. When it is powered on is the laser powered up and therefore affecting laser life? What about if it has a cd inside is it tracking it ready for play mode?
The laser is only powered when the disc is in 'Play' or 'Pause'. Just sitting there either switched on or in standby does not power the laser up.
