Are the big transistors made of metal or plastic? TO-3s are metal. They should all be on the heat sink.

Ok, but I switched the amp boards and had the same problem on the same channel so it must be the power supply or the input board??

Is it possible that a resistor on the crossover on the last stage of output could cause over current or shorting? R27? I replaced last stage caps with orange drops. Just this one last problem then I'm up all the way!
