Surprising assistance in circuit design is sometimes available through the medium of Cats. Just be sure to name appropriately.

Maxwell Blumlein, for instance gave me a number of hints on capacitor elimination - during work on a shunt-cascode driver for a GM70 SE. This was achieved by vocalising while changing sleeping positions (on my neighbour's gazebo).

An old colleague once called his Cat "CMOS", being more of the Digital disposition (he really did). This Cat vanished, though, before anyone could get a picture of him.

This is a 1970's picture of "Like", the shop cat at my PA hire business. He insisted on curling up in any speaker inadvertently left face-up. We eventually issued him with his own 15-inch speaker, placed in a sunny front window.

Sorry about the poor image - it has been taken from a faded poster I still have hanging in my workshop.
