Surprising assistance in circuit design is sometimes available through the medium of Cats. Just be sure to name appropriately.
Maxwell Blumlein, for instance gave me a number of hints on capacitor elimination - during work on a shunt-cascode driver for a GM70 SE. This was achieved by vocalising while changing sleeping positions (on my neighbour's gazebo).
An old colleague once called his Cat "CMOS", being more of the Digital disposition (he really did). This Cat vanished, though, before anyone could get a picture of him.

My dog would eat your cats. But my dog shows no interest in tubes. Perhaps I should eat my dog and get a cat?
I have both. They don't eat each other. 😀
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
I have a dog.
Alright, you probably have big manly SS amps and drive a 4 wheel drive truck too don't ya? Ya well, welcome to the club, I don't know man this thread creeps me out. 😀
All this talk about cats - hooey I say. What kind of a pet is a cat?
Cal, don't u get it. Diversions leads to new great ideas. Wavebourn, dead dog dont count. What kind of people stuff their pets, shame on u!

Shame on you!

I am looser too; mine is flatcoat retriever. 🙂
😕 I have a dog.
We have a dog too... sometimes she thinks she is a cat.

My cat must hate me... He only wants to come sit on my bench when I'm working with 600+ volts, maybe he is attracted to transmitting tubes? Tube-nip?

Mine looks like sometimes thinks she is a cat too, but a cat does not believe.
my cat used to sleep inside the mouth of my mltl speakers. A quick burst of Jethro Tull generally clears the feline damping material out.
This is a 1970's picture of "Like", the shop cat at my PA hire business. He insisted on curling up in any speaker inadvertently left face-up. We eventually issued him with his own 15-inch speaker, placed in a sunny front window.
Sorry about the poor image - it has been taken from a faded poster I still have hanging in my workshop.

Dave, your dog is cool.
You haven't met the new dog. Muffin passed last fall.
