I have a Dynavector 23RS low output MC cartridge with one channel broken. Is there any specialist working on anything like this? I tried contacting DV HQ but no reply yet.
Probably the wire end came loose from the terminal on the inside back.
Especially if the tone arm wire lug was twisted during installation on the pin.

Why not ask "Malfox" (M.J.) in our country?I have a Dynavector 23RS low output MC cartridge with one channel broken. Is there any specialist working on anything like this? I tried contacting DV HQ but no reply yet.
Try Joseph Crow.
Look on Lenco Heaven for needlestien
He is in the north east and does great work.

It's doable - I did it 30 years ago (Empire MC, broken wire from coil to terminal), steady hand neccessary.
Now my right arm is a bit trembling, due to osgood schlatter. Alas.

I did. He has yet to source 0.5 mil wire, see https://www.diyaudio.com/community/...-56awg-enameled-ofc-wire.395768/#post-7267549Why not ask "Malfox" (M.J.) in our country?
Same issue: wire with this thickness not available. There was Mr. Szalai in Hungary.
He inspected the cartridge and said the wire is broken at the coil end, not at the terminal end.
I wonder if its worth repairing, I mean the rubber damping might get old and rigid by now. Opinions?

If it is broken at the coil end it needs new coils or replacement as the outputs will be out of balance if wire is removed from the tiny coil to make contact with the pin.
You might be thinking of Joseph Long. His moniker is "needlestein". He has done 8 or 10 carts for me and does great work. Might also try Andy C. Kim. PM me and I'll let you know their email addressesTry Joseph Crow.

Hi to everybody. I have a dozen carts (40 years of moving coils leave traces, and dead bodies!) to fix, all of them with coil problems. From early SPU to Transfiguration, to Sumiko blue point evo to einstein to madrigal to.... we can go on. I'm in Italy but i travel often for work to Hungry, Poland, etc. I was looking for the mail or contact of László Vencel Szabó in Budapest for recoiling and retipping. Can anybody help me?
