short story- i have a single jensen tr10 spkr that i wish to marry to a yamaha solid-state amp i removed from an 8" practice rig, for a unique and unusual new practice rig for my #1 son. we have already connected them and all works fine, but in my own inimitable fashion, i have bollocksed the xover. so, the question is, or are rather:
1. do i NEED a xover or can i use those bass-blocker things? ex- i have seen bass cabinets with tweeters; how are they wired ?
2. can a NEW xover be fashioned knowing just the original xover points, driver impedances and box dimensions? it WOULD be neat to find another tr10 and have a stereo pair that one could also be used for gittar!

I guess you have already 10mm Auto Glocked that speaker cabinet in the head, so now you have what you have.
Connect your little SS amp straight to the woofer, forget the crossover, midrange, and tweeter .
That's the best way to restore some functionality to what you have.
All other options are possible ... in theory..... but since you won't get another single cabinet, you don't have the crossover schematic, you don't have the necessary parts and more important, you just destroyed one out of sheer ...... ahem!!! ..... let's leave it there.
Just enjoy what you have left.

. . . yeah, that's what I was thinking . . . couldn't hurt to keep the mid in the mix tho, no? . . . series or parallel; forget which halves the load . . . and just for the record, 9MM not 10, but mebbe some day . . .
Yes, it will sound better with the mid connected, a typical Hi Fi woofer is too muddy on its own, but since you seem to have Glocked the crossover, just connect the mid in parallel with the woofer, - to - but in the + to+ connection insert a 5 or 10uF bipolar cap so it only receives mids/highs.
Avoid the tweeter in a MI application, unless you are amplifying a nylon or steel string acoustic guitar.
You can probably pull the cap from the old crossover, use whatever was already there in series with the midrange.
