also bare in mind that pure copper oxidase very very easily, so i will still bet on silver as better conductor due also oxides easily but the oxide is highly conductive.

While it is true that silver oxide is a conductor the stuff you get on silver is actually silver sulphide which is an not a good conductor at all.

Totally irrelevant for a binding post. The gentleman OP is quite correct that silver is too soft. Silver plate over brass has been the mainstay of RF connectors for decades. Think old type N.

You add oxygen to copper to reduce other impurities. The 5-9's stuff is BS for the purpose of a wire and hype sold to idiots. Almost all copper will contain lead, tin, zinc, arsenic, and several other metals. It comes out of the earth and was made in stars.

When you need to send a few microvolts over several hundred feet, then let's talk about the metal. Actually, I will inform you we invented these things called amplifiers.
