Best one is concrete lol.
They dont mud bathroom walls like they use to.
Contractors use cement board or green wall because it faster.
It is essentially like a sheet of sheetrock.
Not made of plaster, basically thin sheet of concrete.
You want very sound proof wall. just use bathroom cement board/ greenwall.
or if converting basement for tenant and want soundproof.
basement ceiling is floated or floating ceiling. very expensive
uses special aluminum rails / rubber rails to float ceiling
can also make generic floating wall very cheap.
not use fancy aluminum strips. use wood strips
and carpet pad instead of rubber.
made floating walls for friends recording studio.
full insulation, 2 layers sheetrock.
then using concrete greenwall, and floated with wood strip and carpet pad.
live band can play 3 in morning. no neighbors hear it.
