I just found the magnetics site then and it seems they've got an Australian distributer
I might be able to pull this project off with a single core yet
The 48613 is 3.375inchs ! I've sent an e-mail to them to see if they've got any of the 2.4inch and greater cores.Check out magnetics TC47313 cores... ...2.75 inch dia!

I'm so happy lol
I know it'll probly meet my power requirements but how much would a core like this put out?
Not exactly sure, but I'm guessing well over 10kW... .
I'm guessing that the size of the core may make it difficult to use.
What material type are you looking at? I've used the P type. Any ferrite should be good. Look at core losses vs operating frequency for the frequency you'd like to use.

The p type has some nice characteristics. It actually increases efficiency until you get the temp over 120C. I've never even actually been able to heat one up that hot!
