Guys, I want to change out the caps in my 95 Olympus viii before I put it back in use. I have sourced the later PM nichicon power supply caps to replace the PL ones it had in there but I dont know which one of the nichicon models is suitable to replace the ECI rail caps which are impossible to find.
Can I get your suggestions,and also if it even makes sense changing out the rail caps to start with?...And also if there is a better cap than the PM to use in the power supply?

I've used more of the Panasonic FC than anything else. I've also used the Nichicon HE series. These were mainly used in the primary side of the power supply. The secondary side is less critical.
So you're saying the caps pictured would have been a lower quality cap than the PL nichicon it has where the power wires come in the circuit?...And in that case I can replace these ECI rail caps with either the same PM nichicon or FC panasonic?
I have never seen the caps you showed fail so I can't say that the ones I recommended were better. I was simply telling you what capacitors I knew to be good quality.
