I’m rebuilding a 10k amp and the output filter caps are defective .
I have some replacements on hand .
My question is what would everyone recommend putting back in the amp for quality caps .
What would be the better choice capxon or sam young caps ?
Just wanna rebuild this amp with good quality components

I would choose Panasonic or Rubycon for quality.Chinesium capacitors don't last or take the strain.
As was stated, Panasonic is a good choice. I generally chose Cornell Dubilier caps when available. The only drawback is cost. They're typically more expensive.
These are the 22uf 250V non polar caps .
So these are very hard to find .
So either I use what I have or use polar caps and make my own .

When I was dong repairs, I never found any reliable electrolytic bipolar caps for this duty. Many times, a 10uF film cap would replace the electrolytics but it depended on the amplifier.
Making your own is a viable option if there is sufficient space.

Dont forget to check out Capacitors, Resistors and Schematics for Tube Radios / Electronics. Thats www. just radios .com They have a nice selection of harder to find caps. I've had to order from them before. Not sure what all the brands are, just they seem to have what I needed in the past when no other place did.
