I have an old Parasound HCA-1000 2ch pwr amp. Some time ago i removed the top cover to do some dust removing inside. I noticed some stuff around the four big capacitors in the middle. My first thought was that the capacitors where leaking, but the stuff seems to be hard, maybe clue.
The amp works fine
Any suggestions?

could the hard stuff be glue to physically secure the caps to help prevent fatigue in the electrical connections.
Yup, that's glue. It's a really common practice to increase reliability. It was a long boat or plane ride for that equipment!

that's what I'm hoping for, but I will not bet on it🙄
