I‘ll appreciate help with finding clamps (at a good price) and “capacitor terminal screws“ at the Mouse where I usually get my parts.
1. Clamps for 13/8 multi-section capacitors (50+50 uF). I found these for a lot of money. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Cornell-Dubilier-CDE/125565-06?qs=0uhOF6wYX64NvonUFAHLJg==
Is it really priced at $8.10 for one clamp? Am I looking at the wrong type. Why are these so expensive?
2. I bought these caps at Mouser with screw terminal like that arrived without screws. I can’t seem to find them in the Mouser website. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/80-ALS70A681DE500

1) Yes, those clamps do cost that much. You can find similar ones cheaper elsewhere.

2) See the "termination table" on the capacitor data sheet.
Different configurations have different bushings and threads, so the mfr does not include them with the part.
"Mounting Clamps, other accessories and hardware are all sold separately and not included with the capacitor.
See Accessory Datasheet"

Thanks for the replies. I know I could buy the clamp cheaper elsewhere, but my question was more about why the one linked at Mouser was so much more than competitors. Are they any different? They seem to be the same quality, so I’d like to understand why is it 4x more at Mouser?
I still don’t know what screws to buy for my capacitor https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/80-ALS70A681DE500 It seems like it should be simple. Thanks rayma, but your reply was not simple enough for my understanding.

Not surprising that the (much better quality than the others) Kemet fully documented three leg clamp is $8.
What is surprising - the can capacitor itself 680uF @ 500V is only $20.
Size code DE
Case 36mm x 82mm
Mounting stud diameter M8 x 0.472
Mounting clamps V3/H2/2736
Thread M5 x 0.8
Thread depth 10mm
maximum torque 2NM
You need two metric M5 bolts, not longer than 10mm

I've used both. Clamps sourced from Mouser or Digikey as well as those from Parts Connexion. For the life of me they all hold the capacitor in question firmly and securly. Spend the extra but I'm not sure your build will sound any different. Thanks for the replies. 1. I re-discovered 1-3/8” clamps that I bought years ago that will work fine. IIRC I paid 65 cents for these, that’s why I was startled by the $8 plus for clamps at Mouser.
2. For the M5 bolts/screws I’m going to take my capacitor to the local ACE hardware store and get some bolts that will hopefully fit.

Be sure that the bolts do not bottom out, or the capacitor bushing could be stripped out and useless.
Thank Rayma, I should now be able to find what I need, armed with your advice.
I’m still puzzled that Mouser does not have a screw that will fit that capacitor terminal, except for a nylon screw, and a ~$4 knurled thumb screw. With all the capacitors they sell, surely they must sell the correct M5x0.8x10 screws too, but I can’t find them.
