Hey guys what do you think about a Mallory capacitor(aluminum Electrolytic caps) for zen v4 power suply. I need some inputs here, and if you have better options where I can get it.

I would use any aluminum electrolytic capacitor if it satisfies three conditions:
- required capacitance
- required voltage rating
- required temperature rating
I would get any brand if it reasonably shares the market.
And, I would prefer a brand if it offers longer life time span.
And, I would prefer a brand if it offers cheap price.
And, I would prefer a brand if it offers a sexy color.

Porfi,
If you'd consider paralleling many 'smaller' caps to achieve the total value you need you should check out my post in the trading post, though I think it scrolled off the front page. I have hundreds of 4700uF, 50v, low esr PACCOM electrolytic caps which I am selling for (what I think is) a reasonable price. I am using a total of 32 per channel in my aleph (vk60) amp, and as far as I know there is no single, double or quadruple cap I could buy that would give me the same ripple current and esr values.

I have used Mallory for about 30 years, off and on, and it is a good choice. Any questions about its performance can be addressed with additional (usually film) caps in parallel.

Thanks Mr. Pass and every one for your response. I already ordered some Mallorys for my zen v4.
