Capacitor Code: u22nJ2A

I have a film capacitor (5mm lead spacing) that's blue and has this written on top of it: "u22nJ2A"

There are other film capacitors around it which are written "u22J63" which i know are .22uF 5% tolerance and 63V.

Could the u22n also mean .22uF?
J is 5%, but what does the whole 2A stand for? perhaps 250V?

Help appreciated. :headbash:

22nF 5%, it could be a 63V part. If you can figure out who manufactured it you can then probably look up the data sheet which should remove all mystery.

Post a picture here, and tell us where it is used and that would help with sourcing a suitable replacement.

Thank you for the swift response Kevin.

So it's an 0.022uF/22nF 5% film capacitor?
I thought if it had the "u" before the 22, it would mean it's 0.22uF/220nF.

It is used in the coupling for a powered Studio Monitor (Emotiva Airmotiv 6)
Seems like cheap Chinese wholesale film capacitors.
The board receives XLR/RCA Line Input, and has LF and HF EQ adjustment knobs.

Here are some pictures.

Woah, you're right.

With the added "n", it would seem that the value becomes 0.022uF.
Whereas no "n", it would equal 0.22uF (based on results of google search).

What i don't understand is why adding the "n" would change anything when the 22 is still after the "u".
