Sorry if this is the wrong section. I am looking to upgrade the caps in the power supply se tion on my car audio sound processor. Tbe picture is below. The stock caps are jamicon tk The 3 larger caps are 1000uf 16v and the two smaller are 470uf 25v. Any advice is appreciated.

Additionally in the audio path there is a bunch of smd caps. 4mm in size. Some are 22uf 16v and some are 10uf 16v. Any suggestions for them as well?
blackgates maybe? 😛
there's a bucnh of good caps.BHC Aerovox, Panasonic FC, Nichicon Gold Tune, Sanyo OsCon, etc..
i usually use panasonic fc sInce they're low esr type and cheap enough 🙂
bypass them w/ some MKPs if you want..
for audio path, you might want to use oscon, silmic, cerafine, etc.for a smaller one like 1uF, or several nF i prefer MKPs or oils..

The chip should all have local HF decoupling to each chip's power pins.
Groups of chips should all have nearly local MF decoupling to the chips supply rail/s.
Once that is attended to thoroughly, the PSU capacitors have little to do. They just recharge the HF and MF decoupling and supply the slower changing currents.
