Anyway, are those signal caps ever necessary? I saw people just remove them (replace with wire). In worse case you will get like 50mV DC on output?
Anyway I've noticed one uk company is just removing them...

Also old SST Amps are not using signal caps at all.

Where is the difference (I also mentioned this site, but I am wondering if somebody has gone for this upgrade path)?
I see that, just plain remove and replace with a 0ohm resistor, maybe one could use just some silver wire.
I do like their idea of a better LPS. Might almost want to consider using a din configuration on a better LPS. But I'd rather put LPS money into source components. Would need to figure out the DIN pinout too - easy enough, but still.
Would like to know the difference between the MPS-1 and the now sold PS3 power supply (schematics, used components), its much money for a LPS... (PS3 is about 1400 USD)
The LPS is one thing, the cord Bryston used from the MPS-1 to the preamp and cheap DIN connector is another. I'd bet a nice performance enhancement could be had by simply replacing the cord. I purchased a Chinese LPS for another use case, ended up recapping it, adding silver wire, some other tweaks - but when you really get down to it, it is not too fundamentally different from the MPS-1. What did change the experience for me on this LPS was upgrading the cables - both mains in, but also DC out. I ended up using some nice Canare GS-6 OFC with Viborg connectors.

What about 100nF ceramic caps in DOA modules? That UK company is removing them, but I'm cosidering it replacing with MKP caps, because I hate ceramics caps in audio, they are microphonic and add nasty non linearities.
between ceramic and plastic i would take plastic For small values i would look at what can be found in top quality phono preamps or mic preamps
A high gain can enhance different sonic signatures

Plastic film caps may be high inductance, unlike ceramic, leading to a risk of oscillation. Depends on the construction.
