Picked up a couple 8" woofers at the local thrift shop. They were in a sealed unmarked box. Tried searching using the numberamp on the magnet without much luck.
The cone material and surround look very much like vifa, but the motor and basket not so much (at least not similar to what I have).

Thanks Tony. I'm stumped. Tossed it in a small ported box with a 100 watts amp and sounded pretty good for 5 bucks. And not even broken in yet
After some more searching. It appears to be made by Gefco (1056) 41st week of 1996 (9641) that's as far as I have got
Hmm, reminds me of some cheap Altavoz prosound/mobile audio drivers sold locally way back when. Really good value for the day, similar to some of RadioShack's better drivers and still have a pair of wide range 6.5" in small two way wall monitors out in the garage.
