The transformer has 13-0-13 secondaries. I only want one 18v dc single supply. Can I split the 0v of the transformer into 2 wires, use 2 rectifiers and combine the -'s and +'s to get my 18v ?

13--------BR1

______BR1
0______BR2

13--------BR2

Thank you.

I asked the same question quite some time ago and was directed to a forgotten page on the Elliot Sound Products website explaining various rectifier setups.

But without any external links, just remember that once the secondaries are separated, it's just AC x2, not AC center-tapped. After the rectifiers, the DC tastes the same.
