Just throwin together a couple bookshelf speakers to stuff in the wall for my garage.

Dayton DA175 8ohm woofer Dayton Audio DA175-8 7" Aluminum Cone Woofer
Dayton DC28FS 8ohm silk dome tweeter http://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-dc28fs-8-1-1-8-silk-dome-shielded-tweeter--275-075

Can someone design me a quick passive crossover for use in these enlosures? (about .44 ft3 and they are ported in the back. )

not lookin to spend a whole lot on components,(2nd order or whatnot would be great :) ) Just lookin for some some decent sound while I turn some wrenches :)

Let me know thanks guys !

Give me your baffle dimensions and driver locations on the baffle. What is the tuning freq of your enclossures? or port dimensions. I will try to have a crossover for you by Wed night.

The enclosures are 8.75'' wide 13.25'' tall 8.5'' deep.

They are old aiwa bookshelf enclosures, How would I find the tuning frequency? Just measure the port diameter and length?

I am literally just shoving these in the wall.....Should I seal off the port?
I will get the driver locations on the baffle...

Ok. If the port is in the rear, you may as well run them as sealed. Are they going on the wall or mounted flush with the wall? This will effect the amount of baffle step incorporated into the crossover. Don't bother with the premade units. They have zero compensation for anything.

I see some car amplifiers, etc.
Do you have 4 channels to work with?

Going active, you won't have to deal with speaker impedance rise :D

Also, no the ports won't work against the wall, but the good news is you have a drill press and can build new boxes and cut cool circles with one of these:

Best to keep drivers flush btw, especially the tweeter.

i am currently running it 2 way active. I recently discovered my amp only has 1 good channel :( I have another amp thats a 2 channel that I want to use.....so I'll need a passive xover :)
